JK Rowling wrote Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and Quidditch Through the Ages for Comic Releif (a charity). Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is meant to imitate one of Harry's Hogwarts school books. With doodles and notes scribbled in the margins, it makes it an entertaining and informative read.
